Andhra Pradresh - Life Spring Ministries

Spurgeon Vanguri was a street kid in Vijayawada City until he was rescued and helped by a local pastor at the age of 7. He is now committed to serving the 23 needy villages in his surrounding area and recently established Life Spring Trust. He is looking to start rural development programs to benefit the poor and disadvantaged women and children.
In addition he is praying for land to build a much needed care centre and church meeting hall.
In our efforts to link like minded projects in India MSM asked Joseph Jebkumar, the manager of AFRA Home in Chennai, to accompany us on one of our visits.

With his many years experience Joseph was able to advise Spurgeon on legal requirements and give guidance on the starting of projects, particularly a creche/orphanage. Under the umbrella of AFRA Spurgeon and his wife have started a small care centre in their modest home for ten needy children.

He has under his wing many Pastors that work in the surrounding villages of Agripalli, each one has their own needs. Most of them have started building their churches but have ran out of finances, some have walls but no roof, some have walls and roof but no windows, electricity is a luxury in these parts, services are held by light provided by naked flame.
